About the project
The project involved designing an analytics platform that visualizes real-time data from IoT-enabled industrial instruments. The objective was to transform complex, high-volume data into clear, actionable insights for engineers and decision-makers.
Key goals included:
• Real-time data monitoring
• Clear visualization of complex metrics
• Custom dashboards for different instruments
• Fast interpretation and usability in industrial environments
Visual language & colours
The color system was designed to support data clarity and quick interpretation. Strong contrasts help differentiate metrics, alerts, and trends, while neutral backgrounds reduce visual fatigue during prolonged usage.
Colors were used functionally—to highlight performance, deviations, and critical states.




















Design concepts
Early concepts explored different dashboard layouts to balance information density and readability. Various visualization styles were tested to ensure that critical metrics remain visible while secondary data stays accessible without clutter.








Final experience
The final dashboards provide a clear, structured view of real-time data across multiple instruments. Users can monitor performance, identify trends, and detect anomalies quickly—supporting faster and more informed decision-making.

Scalable dashboard framework
The design system supports multiple instrument types and data configurations. This ensures the platform can scale as new devices, metrics, and use cases are introduced—without redesigning the core experience.












Reflections
